Came upon this when looking for DIY pole holders. Purchased the larger size and am very happy. Product came with clear instructions and was easy to put together. We used these on our back patio and added faux shrubbery to add some greenery. These are metal and VERY sturdy. You could even put bricks or rocks in the base if you live in a windy spot. We did not need to. Inside, there is a medium level area to fill with dirt to plant. So if you were actually putting living plants, you wouldn't have to pay to fill the entire thing with dirt. These shrubs look so real. The quality is great and the branches feel really sturdy. The branches can be adjusted to hide the trunk. This is a beautiful topiary that anyone who is fond of elegant and classical home decor will appreciate and would cost at least double if purchased from one of the popular home decor catalog retailers. The pot is solid and heavy and fits perfectly in my existing planter. I really like that the height is adjustable which allows me to customize the appearance with easily movable rubber rings. The topiary arrives in a square box so the foliage needs to be fluffed and adjusted initially upon opening - just be careful doing this as I got a little aggressive with one of the balls and accidentally loosened it off of the pole.
