I should have looked more thoroughly at the specs before purchasing. The adjustable pole is not long. It limits the kind of chair you can use. This is my third Dyson Animal. I keep one upstairs that is 10 years old and this new stand one I am keeping downstairs. I am very satisfied with Dyson vacuums. The suction power is excellent. I like the adjustable carpet level and a longer court, which my older Dyson does not have. It is a heavier, vacuum and many others on the market, but I have found that the lighter vacuums do not have the suction power that the Dyson does, so the weight of the vacuum is of no significant consequence to me.
