My condo has french doors in the living room and one bedroom. Even with blinds, the east morning sun heats up the entire unit, taking it all day to cool down. This rods are great for my light sheer valances I have in my kitchen windows. If you needed to hang anything that weighed more than a pound or two, I wouldn't recommend these rods. They are not strong enough for more than that. They do look great! Much better than the small cheap looking utilitarian spring rods we are normally limited to.
