I had this installed on a very old exterior door that only had a basic gold lock set, it didn’t seem secure at all. This maximum security combination strike is constructed of stamped steel and it comes plated in a satin nickel finish. It features slightly taller latch and bolt openings to accommodate door hardware spaced from 5-1/2 in. to 6 in. from center to center. This security strike is designed to replace the standard (separate) latch and deadbolt strike plates with a one-piece combo plate and up to 5 more screws for maximum security. This patio lock is made well. I wish I could install it, but my new apartment complex will not allow me to drill into the frame. I will be giving this to my sister to use on her patio door. I will say it is very well made. The locking peg is sturdy and long, so it will secure the door when I stalled.
