A beautiful wall clock that combines the fine texture of wood and paper. Thomson Paper has a clock face made of an unique design paper called Mermaid, named after the ripples of the sea, the home of the mermaid. Gentle, pleasant, and with superb choice of color, designer Yuichi Nara creates a three-dimensional numbers on the Thomson Paper's clock face using the iconic Thomson die-cutting machine, used to manufacture puzzles. The edges of the number outlines stamped out are naturally rounded like a tensed water surface and drop soft shadows into the spaces stamped out. Part of the Lemnos Plywood core collection.

I gulped a little bit before dropping $170 on a wall clock, but the blue color was just what we were looking for to pick up the same tone as our kitchen island. I also liked the 3D "carving" of the numerals into the paper clock face. Once arrived and on the wall, it hits all the right things and looks great. We are very happy with it. As Ellen Ehk Åkesson was asked to create an art object in honor of Ulrica Hydman Vallien's artistry, the magnificent Ticka was born. The object became part of Kosta Boda's 2021 tribute collection to the late Hydman Vallien. Ticka, available in a limited edition of 100 pieces, is a vessel from Ellen’s own imagination based on the same shape as Ulrica’s “snake bowl”. “I wanted to make something of my own, but with a connection to Ulrica’s art. For the tribute collection, I was inspired by the directness of her approach and style. The vessel symbolizes a tree trunk.
