Installation was a bit tricky as this was the first custom shower drain I have installed but I was able to figure it out. Once installed this drain is awesome. In the shower, hip height is sufficient as a lower limit; there you should perhaps opt for the 24" wallbar or you could go for a 36" wallbar depending on your needs. "Hottie" is a clear satin spray formulated to provide maximum strength protection against rusting, chipping, corrosion, and color fading for extremely high heat temperature surfaces. Unfortunately, most outdoor products come from the manufacturer without UV protection leaving your outdoor investments "exposed". Outdoor Décor needs Sunscreen too.
