Great pots and pans for the price never know what to buy anymore but this set I have purchased several times, they last several years with 4 hungry boys that torture them, dropping them using metal utensils cutting steaks in the pan with a sharp knife and the pans still keep on cooking….end of buying new set every 3-4 years not from the pans failure but from the kids torturing them and even then it’s just a skillet or 2 not the whole set… now we have lots of great pans…use them every day!!!. I just purchased 2 sets of this Caphalon Cookware as gifts for my daughters. I have owned the same set for over 17 years and it is still going strong! Caphalon sells 2 space saver sets (a lower priced version and this set which is almost double the price). The difference is on the handle of each lid. The lower price version has a rubber handle that is not suitable for use in the oven. The lids on this (higher end) set have metal handles and can be used in the oven. Keep that in mind if you are considering the lower priced set as it is not as versatile. I love to cook and this has been my favorite set of cookware ever! Overall, these are durable, and 5-ply, so heat distribution is great and they are built to last. The first time I used them, I got burn marks I couldnt get out. Im hoping time helps with that. The handles are attached with the buttons on the inside of the pans, which can carry different Temps and allow things to stick and require more detailed cleaning than if the buttons were concealed. Wow! I bought these because we recently moved to a house with a glass top electric stove and my old pots and pans said not to use on glass top electric or induction. My last set was a cheap set - also from Wayfair but since we just bought our first home I wanted a good, quality set that will last.
