I have not figured out what you're supposed to do with the handle (I just shove it down in the carrier but there's not a lot of room for it, and it would be nice to have a longer cord to plug it in (I have to put it on the floor in order to plug it in. Also, it seems better suited for soup or something that doesn't need to be cut with a knife and fork - there's not much room for maneuvering within the bowl and it only comes with a small spoon and fork (but those are super cute and really nice to have and come in their own little case). I have not tried plugging in the lunch box in the car and don't know that I will have much of a reason to in the future, but it's nice that it's an option. All in all, a really nice thing to have.. I purchased the 5 qt size. It is very large, comfortably holds 8 boneless chicken thighs for braising flat against the bottom surface. Neither the electric heating element on my glass cooktop stove nor my PIC Inversion Cooktop are able to heat the outer edge of this pan because of its very large diameter. If using electric or PIC Inversion Cooktop, perhaps consider purchasing the 3.5 quart or smaller for best heat distribution while cooking. Clean up was easy in warm soapy water.
