The effortless enjoyment of Gerber® Plumbing Fixtures floor mount tub fillers begins with the simple installation of the rough-in valve. The rough-in valve can be installed in any direction as long as the bathtub center line is aligned with one of the six screws on the plaster guard. The plaster guard has a flat top for easy leveling in installation to ensure the trim will be standing straight after installation. A test cap and plugs are included for pressure testing the connection between the rough-in valve and water supply lines.

It only took me half of an hour to put them on and the outcome is great. The covers have a Velcro like edge so no messy glue is needed. My original solenoid failed after only 3 short years. This resolved my problem just fine, its just unfortunate that Grohe wouldn't uphold their warranty on a 3 year old part, because I lacked the proper paperwork.
