I love the Coravin system.
I had one of their basic models for a couple of years before this one.
This is a much nicer version- the burgundy finish looks great and it seems a better fit and finish overall. One note if you have used one of their cheaper models- this does have a tab to release the slide (keeps it from sliding and exposing the needle). Took me a second to figure out why I could insert the needle.
The package included is nice with the carrying case which holds the extra cartridges. (Also includes the screw on adapters in case you prefer some wines that do not have corks).
Super easy to use- just slide the Coravin over the bottle, press down on it to slide the needle through the cork, press the lever to release the gas and pour.
It is perfect if you are like me and enjoy wine, but drink it a glass or two at a time, and switch up what you’re drinking a lot. I haven’t thrown out a bottle in over a year, because the Coravin system keeps the wine from spoiling.
