It’s such an amazing couch and it made me so happy! The assembly took me almost the whole afternoon but I’m slow. I judge it’s really more of a two people job really. Some of the screws socket were a bit difficult to put together because of the misalignment between pieces if you tighten one part of the screw too tight and misplace the other, but with a little bit of force everything does come together fairly easily.. This futon looks great and was fairly easy to put together. It’s is extremely heavy so I needed help carrying the pieces from the box to the lower level to built it. I can not figure out how to keep the back straight up - it seems to only have recline options so being up against the wall is what’s holding the back up. Pleasantly surprised. The couch looks great! It is firm but comfy . Although, I don’t think I trust it as a sleeper sofa since there is no bar or handles that come out of the part that reclines to brace weight. I envision the top bending or breaking . Maybe it’s a new better designed sleeper couch. Not sure! I purchased a similar couch 9 years that this one replaced due to the springs in the seat. If this lasts another 9 I’ll be happy.. Kimberly.
