Because it is smaller, it is very shallow to sit on. On the postive side, it is decently comfortable and it was easy to put it together. The back isn't finshed and it ugly to look at so make sure you are putting it against a wall. If it wasn't such a hassle to dismantle it and try and get it back in the box, I would have returned it..
