I have heard so many people talk about their Air Fryers that I had to have one: I ordered this because I have a small kitchen and there are only two of us in the household. Much of this unit is plastic, but it seems strong and well-made, and the aqua is beautiful. The first thing that I cooked was chicken: 4 drumsticks to be exact, which fit nicely. I rinsed and patted them dry, and then I hit them with a tiny bit of olive oil spray and seasoning: Twenty-five minutes on 400 and they were very good: Different than traditional fried chicken, but easy clean-up and a whole lot less calories and fat. There was a little bit of a funny smell the first time I used it, but I was expecting this and it went away quickly: I washed the basket and rack before use with warm soapy water before use and I wiped the rest of it down with a damp cloth and I think that's why the smell faded so fast.. We bought the shop in to replace a Cuisineart air fryer. what we like about this oven is the large capacity— but not bulky—allowing for cooking everything for a large family meal. The home run is the rotisserie, but most important is the simplistic analog controls. To set any oven function (baking, rotisserie, air fry, toast, etc) is a 3 -step system. 1. Function, 2. By far the best air fryer I have purchased. I have purchased five different air fryers over the last few years three prior to this one, all of which have died. I also purchased one for my daughter one of them. One of them was a basket kind and another one was a small, toaster oven kind but the bottom line is, they’ve all been not very long lasting. My family, uses an air fryer every day for one thing or another some days a couple times. This one has proven it can stand up to the challenge.
