These I bought just in case for some plastic edging for the back yard. I used every single one! They’re plastic and light weight but sharp and strong. Colorado soil is hard with lots of clay, so I did make sure the ground had been watered to soften. These went through the garden fabric and soil just fine, no bending. I bought these for a big urn on my porch. I have a “pot filler” that has a styrofoam base and it is very light weight. It kept blowing out of the urn. I have dirt in the urn but the filler blew out even if it was down in a hole in the dirt. I hammered the bent part into the sides of the styrofoam with the stakes facing down.
