Your average cheap mattress, definitely much less supportive and not as firm as your typical firm mattress, but as to be expected for the price. Doesn’t fluff up evenly or as nicely as you’d think if you’ve ever bought a quality bagged mattress you know what I mean. Fabric is super loose and not fitted to the mattress and the mattress does get that dipping effect when two people lay on it at the same time. Not the best, but not the worst either. While I don’t think this would be a great mattress for daily use, this was a good mattress for the trundle portion of my kid’s bed. It is slim (in a month, it only expanded to about 5.5”), and it’s quite firm as it obviously doesn’t have room for all the support/comfort layers that a regular width mattress can have. But it fits very well in a trundle bed (even with bedding), is more comfortable than I expected it to be, and is more than fine for occasional use. First night went great! I had only full memory foam mattresses the last 20 years so it definitely felt different and a lot more firm. I miss the sinking in feeling, but my body feels a lot better sleeping on this hybrid. Luckily I was housesitting so I was able to let it “inflate” the full amount. I would listen to the recommendation to not sleep on it for the first few days until it’s fully lofted. It was wrinkly as you can see in this picture but became taut and fluffy on top after 3 days. I wish I ordered the extra thick foam but the 10 inch is still comfortable enough to not feel the springs. I just miss that foam sink in. I might buy a gel foam topper if I need to. All in all, great quality for the price and I’m hoping the springs will decrease sagging and provide better back support. Overall, I’m happy with our purchase! It’s been a year and a half and it’s held up well. My only complaint is that it does seem a bit on the warmer side (or it could just be that my night sweats have gotten worse. lol).
