As an avid DIYer, I know the difference between good and bad products. This motorized blind is high quality. Everything from the fabric and housing quality to the ease of installation make this a great choice. Unfortunately, our primary reason for purchasing this was for privacy in the evening, as our deck opens up to community courts and gathering space. As it’s getting dark in the evening, and the lights are on in our kitchenfamily room, you can see everything in our home almost as clearly as if the shade were not in place. Also, my home is fully automated with Alexa control. I have two universal RF hubs (Bond Bridge Pro and Toyanc IRRF transmitter) for home automation, and for some reason, both accepted the programming frequency of the remote (433.92 MHz), but neither would transmit the right codes. They were fairly easy to install. We did have to loosen a screw on the mounted hardware pivot it slightly to be able to get the rod into the hardware’s mounting hole bc the recommended 14 inch space from the sill’s top was too tight. There’s a fairly big gap around the edges, as you can see in my pic where the daylight streams from behind the blind, but it’s not a dealbreaker.
