Update: one week later Wayfair sent a replacement unit! The replacement unit came pristine, no salient chips or bubbles. I'm so happy with my new butter dish and even happier with the customer service! This really makes me want to order more from Wayfair!
The good: The dish is the exact colour, shape and design as the picture (pay attention, there's a little texture you can appreciate in the pictures from above, I was surprised to see the texture at first but I think it's charming and gives the dish character). The dimensions are also exactly as reported on the listing. What I wish was also reported on the listing is the dimensions of the dip in the dish where the butter goes: 5x2.75". Hard to measure height because the dome is sloped, but I can tell you a Canadian pound of butter (or 4 sticks) doesn't fit with the lid on, barely. Half a pound fits with room to spare above, a stick swims in it width-wise.
The bad: Despite both pieces (lid & base) being perfectly bubble wrapped separately, sadly my base came with 2 chips. Given the price of this butter dish, we did submit an incident report with Wayfair, and requested a replacement. We'll see how it goes.. L G. Guelph, ON. Fri Oct 02 2026
