This sink is exactly what we wanted-but it is not “typical,” of many kitchens. It is deep. Leaning over to wash dishes, it may be too deep for some. It does fit (snugly) in a 24 inch wide base cabinet. As a result, very little countertop is taken with the sink (perfect for those who don’t want sink to gobble up valuable counter space). It is very nice sink, but it is a witch to build a cabinet for. The slightly angled sides ( all 4 sides are angled) make it hard to fit perfectly. To be fair, I am not very experienced at cabinet making, and it might be easier for people who know more then I do. It is sturdy, and exactly what I wanted, if the sides weren’t angled. I have a smaller than average cabinet size for my mid century era cabinets under the sink which really limited my options. This really is a beautiful sink! I wasn’t thinking it would seem as big as it does in person but it’s huge, and nice and deep! It comes with the sink grid to help prevent scratches from dishes. If you’ve never had a fireclay sink (this is my second) they are easily cleaned with something like barkeepers friend. I used to think the black scuffs were scratches but they will come right out! The sink came packaged very securely, but super easy to get out. It is heavy so make sure you have help! Can’t believe it’s as inexpensive as it is!. Christine Noel.
