The folding camping cot looks like is made with quality materials and strong enough for heavy people. I love the convenience design to open and close it easily. I received this as part of the tride and true program. This was specifically ordered for a camping trip that ended up getting cancelled, hence the pad still being in the package. This is a sturdy unit and the frame, which we did open, assembled very quickly and folds back up easily for storage. The pad is decently thick and seems pretty comfortable. The metal frames are very solid which is why it can support up to 500 lb per cot. The first assembly was challenging, but subsequent assemblies were much easier since we knew how it went together. No tools were needed. We did try the bench option but didn't care for it due to the gap at the back where the second rod must rest. Our family of 6 has a farm, are outside all the time, and go horse/ATV camping on our property as well as while traveling. Camping with 4 kids can be a challenge, but this bed really helps the sleeping situation. First of all, I love that you have the option to do 2 cots or convert it to a bunk bed. This allows accommodation in a variety of spaces and camping situations, where you often find yourself in tight quarters of all shapes and sizes. It also adds a dimension of fun for the kids - we have even popped them up in the living room and patio for fun movie nights. And kids who are excited about their sleeping arrangements tend to stay in bed and sleep better! Secondly, they disassemble/reassemble relatively quickly and easily into separate portable bags. Update: Still really like the cot mattress BUT the bag is useless. There is no way to fold, bend or squish the pad in the carry bag. Do not know what this company is thinking. Original: Really like this cot. Has gripping material on the bottom so it won't slide around on a canvas cot. Also has a firmer layer on the bottom and nice memory foam with a soft cover to top it off. Roll nicely and has straps to hold it rolled up in place a over the shoulder carry bag.
