This light was a significant upgrade from the basic contractor grade light fixture original to the house. It also puts out a lot more light than those with globes. The only downside was the light fixture had to be put all together which took about 30 minutes as a result of the very poor instructions. I would not recommend this for most of you if you are not an electrician. The price does seem a little high being you have to put the light together whichtook about 30 min.
