Arrived damaged. It's easy to see how the wheel was somewhat bent considering this item was packaged with the wheel facing down. One good toss by the shipping company or prior and as heavy as this is, it's understandable. The clip that holds the telescoping portion in place had also came completely off. With some difficulty I managed to get it back on, minus paint. I was able to get hold of the manufacturer but did not pursue recourse as everything still worked- just a little disappointing the unit was not packed better and arrive in better condition. Having said all of that, this machine was a beast! I was not hanging drywall, but 11/32 plywood on a porch ceiling. I was able to do the project by myself and at my pace, and this held everything in place beautifully. As the ceiling was sloped and the panels were needing to be installed vertically (not horizontally as this device is designed), I needed to modify the holding brackets by removing the plastic ends and laying a ripped 2 x 4, 5 or 6 feet long, on each of the red square tubes. I screwed a piece of furring strip that fit into the tube onto the top ends of the now 2 x 2's, with a shim a little thicker than the metal of the tube between them. This is what held this addition in place when tilted. All I had to do otherwise was wrap the lower ends with duct tape to keep them pivoting out of place, and then screwed a fat end of a shim on the bottom of the 2 x 2's to hold the panel in place. Worked beautifully! At age 60, the ease of use to install panels was wonderful. I only had 6 panels to put up, but I had no regrets getting this- this was also the cheapest price with shipping I could find.. Tim. US. 2021-11-01 16:20:42
