The wood seat is excellent. The factory starter holes on the seat don’t align up with the screw hole brackets on the frame. Instruction sheet states to “use the holes as guidelines to centre the base to the seat top”, and then says that the “holes won’t align”, so the factory starter holes are useless and you have to align it yourself. The rubber tips on the legs fit loose and fall off easily so you have to glue them on. The curved bottom end of the metal frame has no padding and it will damage the floor.. Paul. Sooke, BC. I got myself one bar stool and would like to replace our 5 counter stools at the kitchen island, but at $200 each, that seems ridiculous. Seem very heavy duty. I have a fiend that is pushing 300lb and visits regularly, none of my chairs held up to him. These will. Very basic finish workmanship is on par with the price. If you wanted to you could sand re stain and shellac them making them look much more expensive. I am happy with my purchase. They were easy to assemble for me even the the instructions are not very detailed, you must look carefully at the drawings to make sure your orienting things the correct way. First chair took about an hour with unpacking and organizing. Second chair took about 20 min. Don't use impact tools on any bolts that go into the pressed in nuts.
