These barstools are so handsome! they look perfect with my western-frontier decor. One of the crossbars cracked a little when we were screwing it in, I'm not sure if you can replace it. but so far it doesn't seem to affect the integrity of the chair. Heavy use, with people constantly getting on and off -- I might question how long the vinyl seats would last. I like the dark brown color and the solid wood pieces. I like the "weave" backing design, but it does appear a little fake-y and plastic-y upon close inspection. If you like the design and the firm cushion, for this price these are a great choice.. EDIT 10 months later… I still love the look of the stools, but they are not standing up. I will add the most recent photos and you can see how the material on the seat has stretched and torn. I guess I’ll have to get them recovered. The material feels like leather, but it’s really just a thin vinyl, that stretches and then once it stretches, it seems to split apart. These stools are great. The seat size is a little wider than normal, which is great for some of our guests that need that extra space. The chairs themselves are sturdy and very comfortable with lots of padding on the seat. My husband put the four of them together in about 90 minutes. Love! They do take a minute to assemble, and the instructions aren't great (had to redo a few bolts to get everything to line up properly, tip--get every bolt in before you tighten any of them, even a little bit), but the quality feels really nice. Also, if it matters to you, the swivel is not a "return" swivel. So if you're sitting in it, you can turn around, but they don't automatically return to the original position, which means I still have to go around and straighten them.
