Solid wood materials. Color is true to the photo. Lots of storage space. The drawers are deep and wide. The fabric cushion on the seat is slippery so you’ll need to put a skid protector underneath it. I also decided the color was too dark so covered the fabric with something lighter. Here’s why this one was a great choice for us it’s the right height for children aged 1-6 it holds about 25-30 board books it’s simple attractive and— most importantly— the shelves are *angled.* why is this important So your books don’t fall forward! The amount of toys this holds is incredible! It was very easy to put together, but you need to use a drill (just don’t crank on it). The pilot holes are there, but screwing into wood by hand is a waste of energy. The instructions were clear and it came together in about an hour.
