[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The roasting basket is heavier and thicker than I expected. The frame of the basket is really great quality. It is a shiny and thick stainless steel. I am slightly concerned that the metal mesh won’t last as long as the frame after using it on the grill for a season. The metal mesh is a much thinner gauge of metal. Not flimsy but with the high heat of the bbq, the longevity is concerning. The sides are high enough so the vegetables don’t risk falling out when you toss the vegetables. The basket prevents small or slender vegetables from falling through the grill grates. I have been known to lose a lot of vegetables when grilling, so this was really helpful. The basket looks nice enough to take it to the table as a serving dish (with a cutting board or tray underneath). I even used the basket to wash some fruit when my colanders were occupied. Will be useful in the future to drain french fries or other fried foods. I like having multi-use kitchen tools and this is definitely one that has more than a use as a grilling basket. I almost want to keep it in pristine condition by using it in the kitchen as a colander/drying basket instead of on the grill outside because it is so pretty.. AllieM.
