This piece is generally lovely. The quality does feel the slightest bit flimsy, but I think it will age well. The assembly instructions are not very detailed, so it requires a bit of guess work at the start. The back panels do not match the wood, but that's not a huge deal. Just what I wanted. I'd been looking for about a year at all kinds of Chinoiserie secretary style desks including the full height ones (Like 7 feet) with the cabinet section above. But in the end I'm glad I chose this one. It has a nice amount of storage both in the drawers and in the vertical slots behind the door.
