The shape works really well in tight (or narrow) spaces, while still offering a comfortable full seat and quite a bit of space, for its size, to store items out of sight. I chose the beige, which is a very good quality linen fabric. This also has some unexpected extras. I like that the fabric comes over the top of the bottom, so you don't see the dark interior lining with the lid on. The feet on the bottom of the lid ensure the top stays in place, which is important if used for sitting. It's a great addition to our home, with multiple uses, and is very well-made.
