I, at first, thought the lift was defective but realized the issue when assembling the second desk. I had to partially take apart the first one to cut the plug out. This durable item is made from an MDF core with high-pressure laminate and PVC maple grain heat-sealed edge banding. A single slot underneath the top makes this a perfect individual desk.

This is a very quality desk and would have been just what we needed, but I could not get it together. The instructions are very minimal and did not seem to match the item. The biggest problem, when I put the screw through the legs to screw it into the base of the desk, it would not go. The hole in the metal plate of the desk did not line up with the hole in the legs.
