I’ve tried other ways of anchoring outdoor string light and this is by far the best looking. They recommend stringing lighter weight string lights which does help a lot. I have an indoor porch that I wanted to string lights up and for ambiance. Ive always had trouble because the string lighting that I normally get all has to be plugged in at some point. The only downside is having to find a place to put the UV receiver so that it will get enough sunlight too power the next night. I turn these on every night and it lasts hours. Very frustrating, thinking I was buying a complete light fixture, I only received lamp heads! The pictures and description are misleading and does not inform the customer that this item consists of several individual pieces. On top of this the independent stake that I ended up ordering does not match the lamp. The description of this item states that it should work, but the picture shown for the stake is the wrong picture.
