I wanted a "girly" ceiling fan and light for my MBR, and this is the one I chose. Yes, the metal color is a bit brassy-pinkish -- some would say borderline tacky/campy -- but I like it for "glamming up" my bedroom. The crystals are beautiful and the 40 or so large, weighy spheres took about 45 minutes for me to attach after the elecrician removed the older fan and installed this one. The long crystals came pre-installed, with a couple extras included in case of breakage. The fan uses a remote and has 6 speeds, moving a surprisingly impressive amount of air. The LED lights have several different colors and brightnesses. The fan runs quietly and has no balance issues thus far (it's only been a week). The clear blades fold away neatly on top of the light fixture when the fan isn't being used. IF you are looking for an understated "elegant" fan/light, this might be over the top. The 4 blades will automatically stretch and close when the fan is on and off. You can adjust everything to make you feel comfortable but keep your room in modern style.

We bought three of these; two of the fans been used almost daily except diring winter momths and no problems. I don't use the light feature much but I haven't had any problems with it. As to the air, you have to be directly under it on the highest setting if it's actually hot, so i would recommend for small rooms only (12x12 max). I had an electrician install them, so I can't speak to that process. I do recommend price shopping because I purchased the other two separately from a "prime" site for much less.. Tammie. California.
