I thought the length of the table is more adjustable. But it is either folded position or unfolded. You will have to anchor it to the wall, otherwise it is difficult to pull it out. This is a great petite adjustable table. The smaller unextended size is ideal for everyday use and fits perfectly in my space. The hidden built-in leaf is easily pulled out from the middle which gives more seating or space for crafting, sewing, or paperwork. The table top is covered in a type of walnut wood-look laminate. The table top seems durable, scratch and dent resistant. The legs are an iron like metal and finished in a matte black. With the pedestal legs located in the center, it is possible to easily seat 6 to 8 chairs around the table. After reading the instructions and using a phillips head screwdriver, (which is not included) it took my husband 2 hours to completely put the table together.
