This piece and the set, is excellent. I couldn't be more happy. The color is a dark cherry, and it's very well built. I just got them today, so I'm still looking over them. The drawers are very nice and sturdy. All wood. The tops are nice looking, but they are heavy. I had to move them upstairs to my master bedroom, very heavy. The holes are pre-set for the mirror to mount. So that was easy to set up. The bottom of the mirror had like a felt layer to it, which was nice, didn't want to scratch anything while trying to set the mirror.
