One of the simplest methods for preparing coffee, the Pour Over Coffee Cone is the perfect tool for creating a great cup of coffee. Borosilicate glass is a material highly resistant to thermal shock and dishwasher safe. Its chemical composition maintains unadulterated the level of acidity of any liquid or food contained. The vacuum area between the two walls allows for thermal insulation and prevent condensation on the outer surface. As a result, the temperature of hot liquid or food is maintained for longer than that of other materials such as porcelain or ceramic. The same is applicable for cold liquids and food, the desired temperature is maintained for longer preventing the “sweating” effect on the table and hands.

I thought the quality was great, however, I did notice the brass handle had some rough spots as if it was not sanded down smooth enough. I like the hand forged quality which adds to the charm but I do wish it was sanded down smoothly on the entire handle. It feels like an oversight or quality assurance problem. I also did not like that there was a scratch on the copper finish itself. I tried to replace the item but customer service offered only a partial refund and I would keep the original pot. The scratch was small enough though but I paid $105 for this and expect excellence in return. The metal was dense, heavy and thick and the entire item feels hefty in weight to handle.
