It is too soon to provide a full assessment of the Cafe Wall Oven as it was installed less than two weeks ago and I have not tried all modes. It fit perfectly in the cutout and looks very elegant. The workmanship appears solid and the finish is refined. Posted temperatures appear well calibrated when cross-checked with an oven thermometer. However, I am not accustomed to ceding my control to the automatic settings built into the technology, and the manual does not provide enough detail. The BAKE setting apparently uses heat both from the bottom element and "also from the upper element." Regular Bake modes are generally preferred for layer cakes but I have already learned that this regular mode requires downward adjustment of both temperature and time in a recipe to prevent over baking or browning. This mode operates more like Convection Bake modes I have used in previous ovens. Pan roasting with convection works well, but again, requires vigilance to prevent over-cooking. It is entirely unclear whether or not there is a "pure convection" mode that uses only the fan plus convection element. The App is an amusing addition but is required for certain settings and updates. Older users may resist using this or find it confusing. I suggest that you add a page to the User's Guide that provides an illustrative symbol for which heating elements are used with each mode and recommended food types best suited to each. The current cooking guide lacks details that would be helpful and when two modes are suggested, differences in time per unit, e.g., lbs., as well as temperature settings in the two suggested modes would be helpful. It will take time and experimentation to master this oven. An on-line course would be helpful. Current videos are designed to sell the product's features, but not how to use the oven.. Pamela45.
