Functionalism. Simplicity. Arne Jacobsen. The City Hall wall clock from Arne Jacobsen Clocks is design in its purest form—created to tell the time, and nothing more. Arne Jacobsen believed that a clock should perform a simple function without any unnecessary distractions. With this exclusive edition of his classic City Hall wall clock—now in new, modern colors from Arne Jacobsen’s color palette on both the dial and case—City Hall takes on a completely new yet still minimalist look, true to its origins and Arne Jacobsen’s design vision. The City Hall clock was originally created for Rodovre Town Hall, where it formed part of the master architect’s total concept for the new building in 1956. The design is timeless, classic, and beautifully simple—yet distinctively recognizable. With its floating presence on the wall, the City Hall wall clock hangs almost like a sculpture in the home—a refined representative of the very best Danish design. This City Hall wall clock measures 29 cm in diameter and comes with a green dial, with the case, hands, and hour markers all finished in a matte gold tone that radiates exclusivity. Use it in modern interiors as a functional design element with a strong visual expression. And even though the clock has been updated with color, there can be no doubt that it is Arne Jacobsen’s unique design language that still stands out—creating an exciting contrast between the classic shapes and the innovative use of color from Arne Jacobsen’s extensive design archive. Elements that give the clock plenty of character—a subtle statement that never disrupts the space. Even so, with a clock from Arne Jacobsen Clocks, you get a design icon that can lift or complete any room. Arne Jacobsen believed in reducing, not adding. In letting form follow function. A principle that lives not only in the design—but also in how we choose to spend our time. As one of the most influential Danish architects and designers of the 20th century, Arne Jacobsen put his modernist mark on architecture and design for more than 50 years—not only in Denmark, but internationally. His uncompromising approach to design and form has fostered one design classic after another, found both in museums and in countless private homes, where they are part of everyday life. As an architect and exemplary designer, he dedicated his career to finding the essence and rethinking products and structures from a functional, minimalist perspective. An approach that, of course, still characterizes Arne Jacobsen Clocks today. Time passes. Design lasts. Naturally, a clock should tell the time. But why not also use your clock from Arne Jacobsen Clocks to create conscious pauses—in your time. Use it as a reminder to slow down and focus on what truly matters. Your time. Undisturbed. Because with the iconic City Hall wall clock from Arne Jacobsen Clocks, time is also timeless—a universal clock design—uncompromising and elegant. Forever keeping up with time.
