This step is not included in the assembly instructions and I didn’t realize the plug was there until I had assembled the first desk and saw that the lift didn’t work. I, at first, thought the lift was defective but realized the issue when assembling the second desk. I had to partially take apart the first one to cut the plug out. Throw out your old fold up plastic party tables! I can see why these tables would be ideal for an office but they are also awesome space saving heavy duty tables for a party!
