I have always wanted a large wall map in my home and definitely planned our basement family room with one in mind! This was an amazing price. It’s a little tricky to install (for wallpaper novices!) as it has 3 panels that need to get lined up, level, etc. We ended up with some very small (unnoticeable from a distance) imperfections at one of the seams. The instructions stated we needed a gallon of the commercial grade wallpaper paste-I could not find the commercial grade type they suggested . We purchased the only type a home improvement store had and it worked just fine. We bought the largest container and now have a 34 full container of wallpaper paste remaining! I have spent a lot of time staring at this map and have noticed there is a very slight color variance in our center panel. (The blue of the ocean is lighter in that panel) I am the only one to notice this. For the price, and the overall end result I am definitely able to overlook this!. Heidi. South Dakota. The online photos depict this as an aqua-blue or aqua-marine shade (tinge of green to it) which I really liked. But the actual map print color for the water is an ice-like blue, with a definite gray tint. So it’s OK, but not what I expected. I ordered this for my son who knows every country, city, flag in the world. It’s perfect for him and I even learned a lot putting it up! Some tips I recommend In hindsight I would have painted the wall black before applying the wallpaper. It’s just impossible to line each sheet perfectly as a beginner but a black sharpie helps the minor inconsistencies. Well you're in luck, because the cartographers at National Geographic have adapted our World for Kids Map to a black and white outline version that you can color at home. Color the places you've been, or the ones you dream of visiting, or color the countries randomly with pastel or bold colors. Spend a few hours or a few days to color the map. By the time you're done, you'll know a lot more countries than when you started. The World Coloring map includes country flags that can all be colored along with a bonus full color letter size sheet that has all of the flags of the world you can use as a reference. The map is packaged in a two inch diamater clear plastic tube. The tube has a decorative label showing a thumbnail of the map with dimensions and other pertinent information.
