I removed a star because this set was hard to put together with just one person even though I managed to do it over the course of a few days. TIP Make sure you connect the bars to frames 6 and 7 in the correct orientation or it won’t connect to the 8 frame correctly so don’t tighten the screws fully until you make sure thats correct, you can turn the bars to correct it if the screws are not tightened prematurely. The table is very sturdy and looks good. There is a seam in the center but I bought a short runner to cover it. Really happy with the product, seats seem sturdy also. We bought this 9 piece dining set for our new house. I like that it is small with 4 chairs when not expanded and can seat 8 when we have guests. It’s easy to expand and we like that the leaf is part of the table and we don’t need to find space to store it. It’s quite heavy and sturdy. I love the finish to look at but it does scratch easily. We use our bar stools for about every meal, so it doesn’t get a lot of use. I don’t think I’d recommend it to a young family as a main table though unless you view inevitable scratches and blemishes as character! It works for our situation though.. Deborah. Cincinnati, OH. So far I have the chairs put together and I really like them. I just need to put the legs on the table and we’re good to go. My delivery was on the day it was set to come.
