I fell in love with this light as we designed and renovated the first floor of a clients house. Our client was surprising particular about his dining room light. He liked that it didn't have any wood detailing. And He loved the interior contrasting color. Beautiful lamp, nice black metal, much bigger in person than on photos, however the base is super small. I Had to replace with a different base as I couldn’t get it installed it otherwise. The light from it does disperse (vs hit the island directly on the bottom) so when you’re sitting down the light can be directly at eye level.
