First of all I want to say I do love the aesthetics of this sauna! Purchasing was incredibly easy delivery was spot on! Let me start with the pros -Well built -Aesthetically pleasing -Solid construction -Instructions were also very good all except for a few little mismatched things (such as the height of the benches... inside and out) -Customer service was amazing reached out to them several times! Cons -The biggest con is the roof... they use steel roofing on a flat surface... you will have to fix this independently because it will leak, I had to get a breathable one sided vapour barrier and use special butyl tape between the panels… I also had to adjust the cosmetic pieces of wood on either end of the sauna as it acted like a dam and would not allow the water to exit... one piece on the roof would've been much better with an overhang on both sides) -This thing is over engineered way too much on the inside.. if you want to take a bench out to clean underneath, as an example you're going to have to remove upwards of 30 screws for a 5 foot bench... the screws are non-structural. -Not sure why the lighting is not hardwired into the control box? You will need a separate 110 V to have inside lighting. -The wood is definitely cedar... but mostly white with a few red pieces in between... because of it being white cedar you will have to deal with sapstain fungi... totally harmless but aesthetically it looks dirty... and you will get it, especially if the wood gets wet during the build process! -The control panel has very poor lighting and is barely visible when the sun is out, was incredibly hard to hook it up to my Eero router network... not blaming the control panel as 2.4 GHz is totally standard for this kind of application... and it was most likely my router that was causing grief but I still can't use it at this point, despite trying many different ways! -The control panel uses baked in software called Tuya... no options for anything else. -The Bluetooth panel works very well if you can keep your phone no further than 18 to 20 inches away from the panel otherwise it will disconnect. -I replaced the magnets for the glass door with stronger better ones, factory just did not seem strong enough. -The main wire for the heater should go underneath the sauna not inside… Makes zero difference but who wants to be looking at a big black on the bottom floor? -I covered in the back control panel as I was not keen on it being exposed to our harsh winters and it really didn't seem that waterproof. Overall I really like this sauna and I've gotten lots of compliments especially on the aesthetics, was fun to build I made a few mistakes because I just did not pay attention to the instructions... that's on me! Would I buy it again? Maybe? Only because of the customer service and how helpful they've been... otherwise I'd be tempted to shop around and get a different brand/company with a little more attention to detail... but overall very pleased🙂. Love it!!! I paid $1500 to a general contractor to assemble it, took 7 hours and I paid $3500 to an electrician to run 220V to the back yard which took 6 hours. Still more than half the cost of the lowest price given at a local store here in San Diego. Great quality, gets as hot as advertised in about 15 minutes, but San Diego is never cold, so starting temp is always around 70 degrees. The instructions are confusing, pictures are not helpful, all the long pieces on the side back and front are smaller pieces connected to make larger pieces it's quite wobbly through most of the building process. This was a great buy. The instructions were very helpful, use the app as well. I am mechanically and electrically savvy and this took me 9 hours start to finish including electrical work. I just put this up, and it has the most detailed instructions I've ever seen! All of the parts were there, everything numbered, everything fit together real well, I also like how you can take the ends of the shelter off and back on, Ididn't put them on from the beginning but I don't think it's going to be a big deal you just got to go up under the collar that comes around the end to keep weather out when you do have the ends on there. I'm not using the anchoring ropes into the ground, taking one to a tree and the other two into the house. I'll just have to wait and see if it can stand up to South Florida weather.
