The instructions were ok except 1 bag of hardware was not labeled. The sofa took about 2 1/2 hours to put together. As long as you pay attention to the directions you shouldn't have a problem although a second set of hands would have helped. Very nice, quality outdoor couch! Very easily to put together with one person. The cushions are thick and stiff. Not too stiff to feel overly uncomfortable-you can tell that overtime this couch will be a dream to sit/sleep on. The back cushions are angular, which is very nice. I love to take one of the end back cushions and use it as a pillow when I lie on the couch! Pictures included. I enjoy the contrast of the cushions and the wood.
