Here is the ugly first…. This is a beautiful bench even though it’s not technically grey. Mine is a dark brownish mostly with gray color. I think the color you receive is a crapshoot. It did come with a small flaw in the hide that appeared to be pistol shot sized on the top but could have been barbed wired. However with all the negatives out of the way, it’s a really lovely bench. Wow! What a terrific bench! First of all, this bench is very sturdy and heavy. In the photos the legs look delicate and I was a little concerned about them being sturdy enough with 2 teenage boys instead of any common sense in the house. Well, the legs are steel and they bolt onto the underside steel frame of the bench! They are rock solid! The goat skin leather is fantastic! Not overly soft but it has a more durable look and feel, which is what I was going for. I have the Eloise and the color is like a very dark brown with grey/black stain around the stitching.
