The stands themselves are beautiful and much nicer than expected. The only reason I didn't give five stars is that the screw threading on the poles was not perfect. The one pole threading had what looked like a bead of metal or possibly solder which kept the screw from attaching. Fortunately using a file I was able to remove it. A second set of threads was just a little off and I had to force the screw in. Once I got it started however it did attach. So... beautiful stands if you have a little mechanical know-how.. With respect to assembly, the middle tension rod holds the unit together, and at times it felt like it wasn’t long enough to do the job, but it eventually worked. Other than that, the stand is exactly as described. My only concern would be how fragile the other four rods are. I’ve had this for about a year. It is well made and very attractive. Only problem is that the two drawers are slightly uneven, so there’s an uneven space between them (pictured).
