Only downside were there weren’t enough slats provided so when the mattress went down it would sink in the most dense part of the body so I needed to take my two slat boards from my old bed and place them on top of the new frame’s slats.. Love the look of this bed. Took a chance bc there were no reviews. The bed delivered in about 5 days. The packing wasn’t the best, but everything was intact and undamaged inside the box. Quality is fair, not exceptional. Upholstery is only on the outside of the bed, not behind the headboard, footboard or rails. Bed is assembled with bolts that are visible on the footboard which I don’t like. The fabric is linen and on the lighter side, not yellowish or grey. Hammered features are a nice contrast to the conventional upholstered bed design. Bed can be mixed with contemporary furniture or antiquish, like I have. All in all, I’d recommend. Very easy to put to together. It is a very sturdy bedframe for the price. The “espresso” color is fairly accurate in person vs what you see online in the pictures. The only reason we give this bedframe 4 stars is because one of the posts came damaged as seen in the second picture. Additionally, instructions were pretty straightforward. There was one moment where it isn’t straightforward, as it doesn’t mention there is not a pre drilled hole for a screw for the middle portion of the frame. The bed frame has been pretty sturdy since we put it together, and had no issues putting our premium king sized mattress on it. The bed is beautiful and really high quality but it is gigantic in our room. If we had a bigger room, it would be perfect. (Our room is about 11’6” x 13’0”). Love the color, the quality. We bought a low profile box spring. I would not recommend getting a traditional box spring if you have a tall mattress! I recently purchased the Ophelia Solid Wood Platform Bed in the Chalk finish (King size) and I couldn’t be happier. This bed is everything I wanted and more. The chalk color is beautiful — it has that perfect weathered, driftwood look with subtle white undertones that make the natural wood grain pop without looking too gray or too brown. What really impressed me is the quality of the solid wood. It feels incredibly sturdy and heavy-duty. No creaking, no wobbling — even with two adults and our energetic dog jumping on it.
