The handle is made of highly durable synthetic material – polyoxymethylene (pom) – which has a tighter molecular structure to resist fading and discoloration. The elegant shape of the handle is designed for a comfortable grip.

Beautiful, comfortable to use and very sharp. I bought this to replace my old Wusthof classic santoku that the handle deteriorated after 30 years of being put in the dishwasher. (I’ll be handwashing these.) The price for the set at Wayfair was lower than anywhere else I looked. I had some confusion about the length of the larger knife’s blade. The Wayfair description says 6” and I was worried that it would be shorter than the one I was trying to replace. But, the new Ikon knife blade actually measures 6.75” and is exactly the same as my old classic santoku. I’m very pleased to have these knives.. Sbb. CA. Tue Sep 22 2026
