I purchased two of these beds. Before buying, I read several reviews mentioning that mattresses had fallen through, or that the bed had fallen apart. After assembling both frames, I can understand how that could potentially happen — at least with one of them. There was a noticeable difference in material quality between the two beds. One feels solid and sturdy, and the slats seem like they will hold up well. The other felt more fragile during assembly. The “wood” (not real wood) was splintering slightly while we were screwing the parts together, which makes me question the durability over time. Assembly took about 2.5 hours per bed with two people. They look great once assembled, and I really love how they turned out. However, the inconsistency between the two frames makes me think quality control may be an issue. I will never purchase a Wayfair item again. This particular piece came with the wrong instructions and now I have to hire a task rabbit to try to figure it out. It’s not just that. Whenever I order from Wayfair, there’s always something wrong. Usually the item is so disfigured and damaged through transit or for whatever reason that I always have to call and they always have to give me some sort of refund. It’s just not worth it to get something cheap from Wayfair. Plus you can always go to another company who will care about packaging And shipping and storage so that the product stays in its original form. No issues with the (king) frame moving around or squeaking. Everything is sturdy. Assembly was quick and easy. The picture colors were accurate.
