This thing is a beast. The company that makes it usually sells it for over $1000. This is the place to buy. The instructions weren't crystal clear but we got the hang of it. There were a couple of random springs with no instructions as to what to do with them. AI came in handy. There was one piece of metal that was slightly bent and prevented the top grate from sliding in but it was easily remedied with a mallet. It is precisely 30dx40w without the skirt. I'm not impressed with the wooden dowels and am ordering other types of perches to install. For this price those tiny little side issues were totally worth it. Overall it’s a decent cage. It’s attractive, and I believe my Senegal Parrot (Zazoo) will enjoy it. We are moving to a new house in a different city and hour away. I currently have a high end powder coat cage that has much thicker bars and overall heavier construction. Zazoo turns 25 this year, and we wanted a more affordable cage incase he is near the end of his lifespan. We hope he’ll like his new home. The cage was well-packed and the only damage was to one of the sliding pans. It was dented and chipped, but I’m not concerned. For the price point the material is very heavy, and the cage is well made. There is plenty of room and doors. I added a bath at one door, and a UVAUVB light so my small parrot could get needed light. Our Eclectus parrot likes the space: even the bump out for the Victorian flourish top. He quickly explored the inside and outside of the cage, treats and water from the new bowls and perch, and enjoyed sittling like a king on the perch stretched in the Victorian top opening. This is a very large cage. It was time consuming putting together but well worth it in the end. The directions were clear and easy to follow. I did put it together by myself and it took about 2 hours. Comes with a long skinny perch and 2 small food bowls. They are not big enough for my bird but nice to have included.
