I ordered 4 of the large book cases and 4 of the smaller ones same style to make my built in unit for my office. The shelves were very fast and easy to put together. I was able to modify the smaller shelves to stack them to complete the built in. Well to be perfectly honest, the delivery team was fantastic! They arrived as they indicated, they were, friendly, courteous, and ever so efficient. The bookcase arrived early enough to have placed all necessary items on the shelves long before the noon hour. However, once the packaging was removed, the bookcase put in its proper place the matter of how to remove the wood wedges (placed on the left and right sides) holding the shelves in place became the major obstacle of frustration. It's like getting in your car to take a drive, you open the door, take a seat, put the key in the ignition, turn the key or push the button and nothing happens, looking at the gas gauge, you realize you have no gas. Went online to your website, located the item page, found there were instructions on how to remove the wedges. It’s like being stranded in the desert with no water and no camel. Works for me, but I would have been really upset if I had paid full price. Majority of the pieces had some sort of damage that could have been solved with better packing. The backing is pretty flimsy and has really visible creases that I couldn't smooth out. I covered the back with wallpaper bc I thought it was cute. The laminate is pretty thin and seems to be easily damaged. Overall satisfied with it, but I would have preferred something a bit more elevated. Just hard to find a good balance of price and value.. Our Mission/Arts & Crafts style furniture is made with attention to detail and expertise like that of 100 year old Stickley. This is made of Quarter sawn white oak which is known for its durability, Mortise and Tenon Joinery, with 2 drawers, 4 shelves, walnut stain with a hand rubbed finish, and drawers with dovetail drawer fronts and metal glides. Make sure to remember that there is no assembly required for this product and is available in Walnut and Michael's Cherry stain.

We did have to replace the broken magnetic door latches and there was minor damage to the back corner, but nothing noticeable. It looks like it happened before delivery transport since it was padded so well. Its a beautiful piece. Its so hard to find solid wood furniture. Well probably get another one we have our eye on!. This bookcase was purchased to replace one that was significantly smaller. Additionally, the other bookcase was made of laminate and pressboard that was of decent quality, but didn't quite have the quality to last for the time we desired. Once we received our shipment from Wayfair and unboxed all the pieces, I could see immediately that the quality of the material was far superior to not only our previous bookcase, but also several other products we've purchased from Wayfair. The finish was smooth as silk, and the stain was evenly applied throughout. The hardware to assemble the bookcase was also of superior quality to some of the cheap packs that arrive with other D-I-Y assembled products. NOTE: This product can be assembled by one person, but it would be much quicker and easier with two (or three if you're like me with two eager-to-help young 'uns). One of the trademarks of solid wood furniture is the weight of the finished product. This one indeed was heavy. Granted, non-solid wood furniture can be heavy, but if any of it is light, you can be assured the quality is slight! All in all, we are very pleased with this product and would highly recommend it..
