I purchased these for the living room thinking. I was going to go more Polynesian in my second home when I got new furniture. That didn’t happen so I put them in the bedroom. They’re fine there but I will probably eventually change them out since they are not the best with this furniture either. They were a great price. They were packed well but did have a flaw on one side. It wasn’t bad enough to send back. I just turned it toward the wall. No biggie. This lamp looks so much better in person. The brushed brass accents are very pretty, and the gray coloring at the bottom is beautiful and looks very high end. It was packaged well and came in perfect condition. I did notice that the product title says it is ceramic but the description says it is resin. It looks like ceramic but it does seem to be made of resin. You cannot tell at all by looking at it that it isn’t ceramic, and hopefully the resin will make it more durable. I was surprised to find out it isn’t actually ceramic though. Also - the box it came in had a Prop 65 warning. I’m not sure why because I can’t imagine it has any lead in it, but I do wish I had more information on that. Bottom line - it is a beautiful lamp and I’m glad I bought it.. Stephanie. I'm taking a star off as they are more lightweight lamps than expected, but the price completely makes up for that. I got these for a spare bedroom so they work well for me. They are attractive and very clean looking, throwing some silvery sparks from the crackle finish + silver metal base. So much so that I'll likely spray paint the shades silver to amp it up more as I appreciate a bit of bling. I think a bedroom is perfect for these, though they would work in a home office. At 23" tall they are a bit smaller than most couch-side placements, but they will work on a taller table as I've used. I hit on a good price, closeout plus sales, but it was the look I liked.
