This is a good looking table but 4 stars because the top of the table is 2 pieces and the wood design doesn’t match (see pictures). The top 2 drawers do not have the side mount drawer slides instead they glide on metal side rails and they are slightly smaller than the space, you can move them left and right but they don’t come off the metal rail. LOVE this!! Almost as much surface area as the old rectangular desk but fits nicely in the corner giving it enough room to pull down the new Murphy bed without having to move it. The two compartments on the top lift up to open but sadly they do not lock in place to remain open, which could be a little inconvenient but there is a slow close on it so it does not slam closed. **TIP** there is a piece that covers the top so you can possibly sit items up there that is probably some type of mdf board and it probably blends in with the packaging and mine was thrown out, so just be mindful and ask for that piece.
